Idn links' purpose is to provide webmasters with a depository of information, tools and resources
in regards to Internationalized Domain Names (IDN)*. |
|
|
One of the biggest challenges Idn webmasters and investors alike face today - besides the fact that all good idn
domains are already taken :)- is accurate key-word translation. Unless you're a native speaker of your target language, or you know someone who is, chances are you'll be having a heck of a
time trying to get correct translations of certain words, especially plurals, as most free online dictionaries are somewhat limited to what they offer.
Many times you'll get
different translations from two dictionaries for the same word. Which is the correct one? And, most importantly, is this word used in the same manner in your target country or region, as it
is used in your part of the world? While there is no fool-proof technicque to solve this, best you can do is lower your chances of ending up with a dud, by using a variety of the resources
listed here as well as your noggin. To be continued... here for more up to date events and info
